School for Sillies, Friso Henstra

Today's vintage children's book is School for Sillies by Jay Williams, illustrated
by Friso Henstra. In this story King Kilian considers himself to be the smartest man in the kingdom and his daughter Zinnia to be the smartest girl in the kingdom. He decides that she can only marry a man who is wiser than he, thus the stage is set.

  1. I've only recently discovered Friso Henstra. We have the books "The Practical Princess" and "Forgetful Fred". I'm really drawn to the illustrations.
