Did You Get Enough Summer?



Summer is waning. It won't be long and cooler Fall temperatures will be here. I'll have to put my shorts and flip flops away and start wearing socks again. While Fall is a season I do love, the question is did I make the most of this Summer, enjoying all of Summer's goodness? Well, no. In part because it was a Summer of working, working, working and me being a lazy slacker the rest of the time. I did drink ice tea and lemonade while I lazed, which is very summerish.

 Remember all the things you couldn't wait to do when you were a kid? All the hallmarks of Summer like swimming, camping, going to the fair? Now I'm too lazy to do them, but I can still enjoy them, vicariously. I'm sure you can guess where this is leading. : > )

    Hi Jill, August in the UK is usually hot and sunny, but this year has been wet and cold. I’ve just got up and once again the rain is coming down in torrents. Never mind, there is lots of sunshine here on your blog. Thank you for sharing all these sweet images, they take me back to my youth. Barbara.

    Warm greetings from Montreal, Canada. We had a lot of high heat and humidity so I did indeed get enough summer and am loving the cooler temperatures and lovely colours that Autumn is bringing. This is such a great post, I love, love, love vintage and you have made my day. You have a lovely blog. :)

    I just yesterday acquired the Golden Book of Camping from my local public library where I work. The lady who takes care of donations was not going to use it and knows I love old books to do stuff with and gave me a box of old children's books. Mostly from the 60's. Its in great condition. My husband wants to keep it. So I'm not going to be cutting it up for up cycling ha.
